Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-10-30
This policy explains what personal information TAOX collects, why, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
Account: your email address, language and notification settings.
eSIM and usage: your eSIM's identifiers (such as the ICCID), its status, and data usage by country as reported by our network partner. We use this to show your balance and usage and to charge for data.
Payments: the amount, status and Stripe references for each top-up. Card and wallet details are entered on Stripe's page and handled by Stripe; TAOX never sees or stores your full card number.
Security: sign-in sessions with the IP address and browser they came from, and a log of important account actions, to protect your account and investigate problems.
Location: to suggest a default destination, our server looks up which country your IP address belongs to in a local copy of the DB-IP database. The address is not sent to anyone else and the result is not stored; you can always pick another country. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run TAOX: Stripe (payments), our eSIM network partner (eSIM and data service), Resend (email delivery) and our hosting provider. They may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, under their own security and privacy obligations. We do not sell personal information.
We may disclose information when required by law.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs: one to keep you signed in and one to remember your language.
How long we keep it
We keep account and usage information while your account is open. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. When you close your account we delete or anonymise the rest within a reasonable time.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or close your account and have it deleted, subject to records we must keep by law. You can turn off notification emails in Settings; sign-in codes and essential service emails are still sent.
