Terms of Service

The service

TAOX gives you one eSIM and a prepaid balance in US dollars. Mobile data used abroad is charged against that balance at the rate for the country you are in. The countries we cover are listed on the Coverage page; coverage, networks and rates can change.

Data service is supplied through our network partner. Speeds, availability and coverage inside a country depend on the local networks and are not guaranteed. TAOX provides data only: no phone number, calls or SMS.

Your account

You create an account and sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so keep access to that email secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Each account has one eSIM. Your eSIM's installation code is personal: do not share it. If you delete the eSIM from your phone, you can install it again on the same phone up to 4 more times; it cannot be moved to a different phone, so contact us if you change phones.

Balance and payments

You add balance by paying through Stripe, our payment processor. Payments are in US dollars; your bank may apply its own conversion fees. Each top-up is between $5 and $50.

Your balance is prepaid credit for TAOX data only. It has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, and cannot be transferred to another person or account.

Balance and usage are reported by the network with a delay of about 10 to 15 minutes, so the balance shown is an estimate and data used just before your balance runs out may still be charged. When your balance reaches zero, data stops until you add more.

Your balance does not expire, and TAOX does not charge inactivity fees. Our network partner does not currently expire balances or retire unused eSIMs; if that ever changes and affects your eSIM or balance, we will tell you by email in advance wherever we can.

Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Acceptable use

Do not use TAOX for anything unlawful, to resell the service, to send spam, to attack networks or systems, or in a way that harms the network or other users. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules; any refund then follows the Refund Policy and applicable law.

Liability

We work to keep TAOX reliable, but the service depends on third-party networks and is provided as available. To the extent the law allows, TAOX is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid TAOX in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will notify you by email before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
